Illinois 4-H

From Will County, Shirley Streich became a 4-H Parent in the Jackson Livewires 4-H Club in 1983. She helped form and began leading 4-H Tailwaggers in 1988. Nearly 500 children have been trained under her aegis. Fifteen 4-H'ers have won their Class at State Jr. Dog Show from her club; the Club has taken the State honors three times. The most fun she reports has been watching the Members and their dogs grow up and mature. The children have developed into adults and many relationships continue. Shirley Streich has made the Dog Program in Will County a singular success.
