June and Hugh are life-long residents of Jersey County. June was an eight year member of the Piasa Bluffs 4-H club where she learned to sew. She was also the leader of the Fidelity Busy Bees for a year. Hugh was asked to be the leader of the Prairie Union Pirates in 1970. June joined him as a leader the following year and continued until 1981. The Moore's are proud of their years volunteering in 4-H. Throughout the years they have hosted numerous livestock judging contests, fitting clinics and livestock weigh-ins.
