4-H has been an important part of Joe and Sharon Marquardt’s lives for many years. As a team, they both served as leaders of the Moonlight Boys and Girls 4-H Club for nearly 10 years while their three children were involved with the club. After ending her career as a leaders, Sharon went on to work for the University of Illinois Extension office in Monroe County for almost 25 years as Extra Help with the 4-H program. In addition, Joe served as the Monroe County Fair Poultry and Swine Superintendent for many years, sharing his knowledge of the livestock industry with local youth. Joe and Sharon continue to provide active support to the Monroe County 4-H program and are always willing to help when needed.
