Vernon and Jane were both raised on farms in Cumberland County. On their farms, they raised several different livestock and grain. They were both members of local 4-H clubs in Cumberland County. In 4-H many different friendships can be made, which included Jane and Vernon. They met while in 4-H, and they just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 6. For both of them, 4-H has been an important part of their lives. Jane became a leader when their daughter Felicia joined 4-H. Vernon took part by becoming a beef superintendent and is still active as a superintendent today. As the years have passed, their daughter Felicia and husband Jamie have taken over leading their own 4-H club. It’s a wonderful feeling to watch their own grandchildren grow through 4-H. Jane and Vernon are proud to say they come from a family with four generations of 4-H!
