Growing up on a farm in SE Wisconsin Nancy’s family was involved in 4-H, her mother being a project Leader. 4-H provided many opportunities and adventures during her teen years.
Nancy received her BS in Animal Science from Michigan State University and MS in Journalism from Northern Illinois University. A Loan Officer position with Farm Credit first brought her to Oregon, IL where she eventually joined Ogle County Extension as an Agriculture and 4-H and Youth Advisor.
Marriage and children came but Nancy still stayed active as an Extension volunteer until her children were old enough to begin 4-H. At that time Nancy and two friends formed the Trailblazers 4-H Club. For the next 12 years. Nancy’s excitement for learning by doing has offered 4-H and non-4-Her’s many adventures.
Over the years Nancy has held positions on the Ogle County 4-H Foundation, Multi-County Advisory Council and State Advisory Council
