Illinois 4-H

Jim has supported Carroll County 4H for many years. He facilitates our annual beef weigh in and helps with our livestock shows at the 4-H fair each year. Jim has been a dedicated 4-H supporter for many years. This volunteer journey with Carroll County 4-H began in 1991 when he and his wife Kayla became leaders of the Shannon Shamrocks 4-H club and they remained leaders until 2000. During this time, their three children were 4-H members and one of their sons still volunteers today. Jim was instrumental in getting the 4-H livestock auction organized and going several years ago. He hosts the beef weigh in each year at his farm for our 4-H beef members. Jim is always willing to share his knowledge and be a mentor for our young 4-H’ers.
