To say that Danny Evans is dedicated to Saline County 4-H is such an understatement. He, along with his entire family, lives and breathes the motto, "To make the best better." He is a 10-year member and a 38-year leader of the Pleasant Valley Go-Getters 4-H Club. Danny serves the youth of Saline County with impartiality. He is the first to arrive at a committee meeting, at a weigh-in or weigh-out, at a clean-up, and the last to leave, and he puts in 20-hour days at the fairgrounds during fair week. He has a famous briefcase containing years and years of 4-H history and a truck containing anything anyone, youth or adult, could ever need. He is kind and hardworking, a Christian man with a good heart and a love for 4-H that started with his parents, Warren and Roberta, and continues with his siblings, his wife Nancy, his children and grandchildren. Saline County 4-H kids and parents know to go to Danny with any questions and he will be able help to them. He celebrates their successes and grieves their losses, both 4-H and family. He keeps a cool head and truly uses his Head, Heart, Hands, and Health every day of the year to make the program great. He is a wonderful 4-H ambassador in Harrisburg and Saline County.
