Mary Beth Bowman has been involved in Knox County 4-H for her entire life and was a 10-year member of both the Delong Livestock 4-H club and the Delong Models club. She participated in various projects, including cooking, sewing, gardening, room improvement, and raising swine and steer. She chartered a 4-H club in 1975 called the K'ville Clovers and served as the 4-H leader for 18 years. She raised her three children in the 4-H tradition and all attended National 4-H Congress. She been a dedicated volunteer serving on the 4-H Extension Council, judging sewing and communication projects, coordinating the fair food stand, a state record book judge and a volunteer with Welcome to the Real World for 5 years. Mary Beth continues to support Knox County 4-H and is always there when needed. Mary Beth stated, “4-H is an organization that allows youth to develop project skills, learn responsibility, leadership skills and make life long friendships.”
