Don & Karen Grupe

Don and Karen Grupe represent the heart of the Effingham County 4‑H horse program. For decades, they have devoted their time and energy as Horse Superintendents and leaders of the Easy Riders 4‑H Club, helping youth grow in confidence, responsibility, and character. Even after their children aged out, they returned to rebuild the club when participation declined, growing it to nearly 20 members and revitalizing the horse program. Continuing a remarkable family legacy of service, Don and Karen have mentored the next generation and strengthened 4‑H for years to come.
