Karen Koester

Karen Koester embodies the spirit of Illinois 4‑H through her decades of service to Jo Daviess County youth. A key leader in the program, she has encouraged leadership, confidence, and growth while helping establish lasting county traditions. Karen has served as Beef Superintendent and as a longtime judge and superintendent for general projects, offering guidance that inspires youth to do their best. She is the volunteer who shows up early, stays late, and says yes whenever needed. Her dedication, integrity, and unwavering support have shaped generations of 4‑H members, making her a truly deserving Hall of Fame nominee.
